Hailing from a remote village 80km from Dhaka in Bangladesh, the prospect of studying at a high-ranked UK university seemed unattainable, especially given fierce global competition and administrative obstacles.
Nearly a decade later, I had secured a place to study Economics at Queen Mary, University of London. This journey, however, was not easy. Initially, I tried applying without any support and was unsuccessful in gaining a place at my preferred institution. Many of my peers shared these challenges, too, primarily due to a lack of guidance in their countries.
This realisation led me to co-found an education consulting firm with a university mate, where I gained invaluable experience over the next 12 years. Furthering my own education, I earned an MA in Public Policy from King's College London. In 2020, I founded Hansard Education with a mission to help aspiring students achieve their dreams. As Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world."
With our passion and expertise, I believe Hansard and its team can offer great value to future generations of students.

I have had a rich experience of education both in the UK and internationally. As a student, I attended institutions such as Eton College, Trinity College Dublin and Moscow State University. Over the last decade, I have worked as an educator, supporting students with a range of education consultancy, including raising academic attainment as a tutor, interview techniques, applications and career mentoring.
Through my dedicated work, I have gained broad experience in the international education sector and supported many students through admission to some of the best schools and universities in the UK.

I am currently a student at King's College London, studying Medicine. With my experience of the admissions process, especially in the highly competitive medical faculties of UK universities, I have turned my attention to supporting other international students who are pursuing similar dreams and ambitions.

Brandon Merrifield

I am a professional and an academic. I graduated from the esteemed Cambridge Muslim College with a BA in Contextual Islamic Studies and interned at the University of Oxford in the Faculty of Classics. I am a researcher, writer, and excellent communicator, possessing both classical Arabic and English proficiency.
I currently teach Arabic part-time to national and international students, and I have a keen interest in studying formal logic (mantiq), theology (kalam), and scriptural exegesis. I regularly write articles for my local community and am compiling a compendium of my poetry.
